Somehow, I missed this album in 2020, glad I found it now, just awesome. Atmospheric, heavy, with some interesting melodies and lyrics. Listened to it over and over many times now and have always found something new. Desert Rambler, Folding and Shapeshifter are excellent. Looking forward to more (hopefully not in another 20 years!) Between Carly Simon, Tom Petty, and Jellyfish, Doppelgängers has usurped The Replicants’ self-titled effort as my favorite cover collection of all time. You guys just don’t know when to give up, thanks from all of us who appreciate your grit and gumption. You keep setting ‘em up, we’ll keep knocking ‘em back. Patrick Crough
